Paddle the Sevenmile River - Spencer
Paddle the Sevenmile River, an enticing 6.5-mile paddle by canoe or kayak. The river is a narrow winding stream with some fallen trees creating hazards, more challenging. We may encounter shallow water shoals where we will be forced to wade and drag our watercraft. The river is a moderate difficulty rating.
Participants are asked to bring their lunch, water bottle, rain gear and a change of clothes in a waterproof container in case of capsize. Everyone will be expected to wear a pfd (life vest). Participants are asked to sign the “Waiver of Liability” before participating in any AMC activities. You do not have to be a member of the AMC to participate on this trip. Call leader David Miller at 508-853-8964 or email him at sentierdeau@gmail.com to register for the trip. A few loaner boats are available at a nominal charge. Inform the leader to borrow a boat, and after being accepted for the event contact AMCPaddle@gmail.com (cc’ing the leader) with your request.
