Activities for September 2026

Please join us for the following Green Mountain Club, Worcester Section, activities for September 2026:
Saturday, September 12 in the Land of King Philip. We will paddle the Great Swamp in Rhode Island, and enjoy the wild and scenic environment. We will pass over beaver dams and may need to portage around fallen trees obstructing the waterway. Sunday, September 20, Hike from the Four Corners in Princeton south on the Midstate Trail to the Old Colony Road extension (about 5 miles) off Route 62. We will meet at 9:30 AM at the Four Corners kiosk parking area, located at 53 Gates Road in Princeton. We will spot cars at the Old Colony Road Extension. Sunday, September 27, Mountain Bike Ride at West Hill Dam in Uxbridge, MA. We will meet at 10:00 AM in the parking area located at 518 Hartford Ave E, Uxbridge, MA. This park features over 15 miles of well maintained single track and double track mountain bike trails. For more information, call or text Gary Brigham at 508-471-7867. Thursday Evenings, September 3, 10, 17 and 24. Potluck Picnic, Horseshoes, and Corn Hole at the GMC camp. Please join us for horseshoes and corn hole at the GMC camp each Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Bring a potluck dish to share with others. You may also just come for a swim and to relax. We will fire up the grill when needed. Whether you are a beginner or a long time player, come join in and have some fun. The address of the GMC camp is 345 Rawson Street in Leicester, MA.
