Join us for this lovely 4 mile section hike of the Midstate Trail in Westminster and Princeton, MA. We will meet at the Wachusett Mountain Ski Area main parking lot near the lodge, then shuttle to Narrows Road. The terrain is a mix of ups and downs and is steep in a few short sections. There are several spots with great views. Dogs are allowed. Bring water, snacks, a rain jacket and (optionally) hiking poles. Following the hike, the AMC Worcester Chapter is hosting a potluck social and gear swap at the TrailsFest at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area . At the meeting, members and staff will conduct club business, review some of the past year’s work, and discuss plans for the current year ahead. Mountain Bike Ride at the Quabbin Reservoir. This is a 6-8 mile easy ride over dirt and gravel roads. We will meet at 9:30 AM at Quabbin Reservoir Gate 35 in New Salem. The parking area for Gate 35 is located at the end of Old North Dana Road in the town of New Salem, which is off Route 122. Call or text leader Gary Brigham at 508-471-7867 for more information or to register. For driving directions, use Google maps for Old North Dana Road, New Salem, MA and drive to the end of the road to Gate 35. Biking roads will be easy to moderate difficulty. •
